It has a ruby-like color. This tree is quite rare and only grows in the Adirondack Mountains of northeastern New York. It is the true king of spruce and is often used in the production of high-end acoustic guitars. It has a wider texture, a larger resonance range, a relatively heavy mass and high stiffness. Guitars made from it will sound more and more attractive over time.
